Positive
It's so easy to cruise through life. If we do not try to understand what kind of people we need to be then our circumstances will choose that for us. Letting life just happen will lead to constant roller coaster lives. A way to live on purpose is to start today choosing to be positive. All of us will deal with people having a worse day than we have had. If we keep choosing a positive, cheerful attitude we will sometimes stick out like a sore thumb. People tend to focus on the negative. We will face times when we would rather be negative. It would be easier to be negative. Positive actions can come before we'll actually feel like being positive. Something as simple as focusing on the positive can make a world of difference. Whose life could we impact today by something as simple as a smile or a kind word?

It isn't rocket science!
Life rushes by and we think, "is it already February ?" incredulously and then it seems that in the next moment another month has slipped by. That is why it is so important to live on purpose. Paul writes in Ephesians 5:15-16 (Amplified):
Look carefully then how you walk! Life purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people). Making the most of the time (buying up each opportunity) because the days are evil.
Although sometimes the efforts of keeping a home running, working to support the family and working to minister to people God places in our lives makes us feel witless living on purpose really doesn't require alot of brain power! Making the most of every opportunity means thinking about each moment, asking the Spirit to guide our thoughts, attitudes and actions. In these posts we will share where God has led us, how He has changed us and the daily joys and struggles we face. We have not arrived, but we will keep trying, keep trusting and keep laughing!
